The 4th Corpus Linguistics in China Conference (CLIC2018)

 

The 4th Corpus Linguistics in China Conference (CLIC 2018) will take place on June 1st – 3rd 2018 at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), Wuhan, China. The event will be co-hosted by the Corpus Linguistics Society of China and HUST School of Foreign Languages. We wish to bring together colleagues from across the globe to discuss issues of interest and exchange ideas for research in corpus linguistics.

 

Topics

Topics may include (but are not limited to) the following:

1) Theories of corpus linguistics

2) Corpora and language for academic purposes

3) Corpora and learner language

4) Corpora and translation and interpreting

5) Corpora and discourse studies

6) Corpora and cognitive linguistics

7) Corpora and natural language processing

8) Corpora and lexicography

9) Corpora and language teaching

10) Corpora and language of new media

 

Symposia

Symposia will be held on topics including (but not limited to):

  1. Theories of corpus linguistics (Convener: Wenzhong Li)
  2. Corpora and language teaching (Convener: Dilin Liu)
  3. Corpora and English for academic purposes (Convener: Lei Lei)

More proposals are welcome.

8 March 2018: Deadline for proposal submission

5 April 2018: Notification of acceptance

20 April 2018: Deadline for early-bird registration

1 May 2018: Deadline for regular registration

1 June 2018: Conference check-in

2-3 June: Main conference
